The Laingsburg Lions Club held their annual Charter night June 27, 2019 at the Peacock Road Family Farm. Lion Ed Carpenter and staff at Peacock Road Family Farm prepared a fantastic meal. Approximately 50 Lions along with spouses / significant others were present. Outgoing President, Ed Arthur, presided over the event. While wishing himself farewell as outgoing President, he welcomed himself in as incoming President for the 2019-2020 term. Lion President Ed is just the second President to have served full terms as President for two consecutive term years. The only other time this occured was when the club was founded in 1948 and Lion Dr. Rueben Alexander served as President the first two years of the clubs beginning. Ed presented multiple awards during the evening starting with the Perfect Attendance Awards. It is noteworthy to pass on that during his 1st term of service he has overseen the recruitment of 14 new Laingsburg Lion members. A truly amazing feat given the history of the club.

Lion PDG John Carroll swore in 4 new members at the beginning of the meeting.

"Leadership" award was presented to Lion Eric Schuman.
Terry Fraidenburg received the "Pay it Forward" award.
A "Distinguished Treasure" award was presented to Mike Danek.
The award receipient of this traveling annual award was presented to Holli Denson (not present).
These were Well deserved awards for being faithful Lion members.
